There are a lot of LEDs of different colors that the wireless AirPods emit, depending on the situation.

There are three primary colors that these AirPods give off; orange, white, and green. However, what does it mean when your AirPods emit blue light since nothing was said about blue lights?

If you see a blue light coming from your AirPods, it means you just bought a fake AirPods. Authentic AirPods do not emit any color except orange, green and white. Also, dropping your AirPods to the floor can damage the LED, making it not function properly and emitting blue light.

What Does the Blue Light on AirPods Case Mean?

Blue Light on My AirPods Case

Real AirPods do not emit blue light, so if your AirPods blink with blue light, it’s fake. A lot of people have fallen victim to fake vendors, but not to worry; you can be able to request a refund from the seller.

Fake AirPods usually go for the price of the original ones, and their target is mainly apple products due to their popularity.

The only colors that your AirPods are supposed to emit are;

#1. Green

When your Apple AirPods gives off green light, it indicates that the AirPods are full.

There are several reasons why the AirPods blink with green light, but in this case, it emits a green and solid-unblinking light.

If you decide to remove your AirPods from the case and it continually blinks green light, then it means the case itself is also fully charged.

#2. Orange/Amber

The orange or amber color indicates charging AirPods. If you place your AirPods in the case and turn amber, it starts charging.

If you place your AirPods in the case and the case still emits orange without being plugged in, it indicates that the case is transferring charge to your AirPods.

Even if you decide to charge your case without the AirPods inside, it would still give off an amber light.

#3. White

A flashing white light shows that the AirPods are ready to pair. This is when you see a blue light, instead of white, blinking if you have gotten a fake AirPods.

So, if you want to connect your AirPods to your device, you must ensure that it blinks a white light, not blue. When your AirPods are dead, they don’t blink with light.

Do Real AirPods Have Cases That Light Up with Blue?

Authentic AirPod cases do not light up with blue light.  Real AirPods emit green, orange, and white light for various operations.

Unfortunately, when your AirPods emit blue light, there is no way Apple would refund your money or even give you a new pair of AirPods because the fault is from the vendor you got it from and not the company.

How to Spot Fake AirPods Before Purchasing Them?

One of the best ways you can confirm the genuineness of your AirPods is by matching the serial number with your apple official records.

When you check the lid of your AirPods case, you will see a code you can scan through the Apple check coverage.

Another way you can detect fake AirPods is when the diffuser on the AirPods doesn’t align with the smaller hole properly.

If these AirPods look misaligned, then there is a high chance that the AirPods are fake.

When you look at the back of the case, you will notice the circular button on the case sits lower in the original AirPods and a bit higher in the fake ones.

There is always a way you can tell original AirPods from fake ones, so you should be very careful when making your purchase.
